Hello all! It's been a good year, in music. Though we've had troubles finding astonishing and completely fantastic music released in 2002.
There have been moments. We could have mentioned Residents's and Sonic Youth's latest albums among others, but
we'll stick to the local Norwegian stuff. We've listed 5 faves in the mailorder-update section.
These releases are not even close to being a best seller, even in our scale. In all modesty the two 2002-released
Apartment releases are not listed on this list....
We also curated and arranged our own Apartment festival last year. We still intend to put photos from the festival on our pages
sometime in the future. The Norwegian tours of RUINS and Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. went
both very well, and even Slowburn and Crazy River shared bill with them at some clubs. Makoto Kawabata of AMT also did perform
on his own and with Slowburn on this tour.
Crazy River's debut album will be out sometime before summer, hard to say when and where... DEL have
fullfilled their new album and the mixing is almost done - so keep your eyes peeled. This is
not the announced live LP. This one has in fact just been released by the OHM label in 100 copies with
hand-painted covers. Order your copy now! Slowburn still works in their usual tempo - so don't hold your breath.... not yet. Slowburn buddies F N Sevendal and Galåen
also have just released a split 7" on the mentioned OHM label. If you got ears....
Coming up on Apartment in Feb./March 2003 is Dipsomaniacs' "The tremolo of her mind... the strings of her soul" and the
collaboration 7" with Makoto Kawabata, Mitsuru Tabata, Fredrik Ness Sevendal and Per Gisle Galåen.
